New Hope Youth Our goal is to help students navigate life by developing healthy relationships with God and with other people. We want students to find their purpose in Jesus Christ and grow in deep commitment to Him. We believe in making friends, having fun and connecting with God!
New Hope's ministry to middle school and high school students is made up of two groups. Ignite is geared towards students in grades 6-8 and is led by Pastor Jesse Johannesen. Infusion is geared towards students in grades 9-12 and is led by Pastor Brian Smith. Join students from all over the Des Moines metro area at a service this week!
+ How can I get involved?
Besides just showing up for events and activities, these are just a few ways to get involved...
Speed the Light > students give weekly offerings and do fundraising to buy equipment and vehicles for missionaries. We have given over $30,000 in each of the last three years.
Fine Arts > gives students the opportunity to discover and develop their God-given gifts and abilities for ministry. Whether you sing, preach, do drama, art, writing, etc. Use your gifts to bless others.
Campus Missionaries > God calls missionaries to all seven continents, and He is calling students to the greatest mission field in America-the school campus! Many of our students are missionaries at their school.
Ministry Teams > We encourage every student to plug-in and serve on a ministry team (listed below). Let us know what interests you. If there is something else you would like to do, let us know.
