The college-age ministry (18-23) meets on Sunday nights at 6 pm. The first Sunday of the month we meet at the Student Campus Chapel and start with a free dinner, have worship and a message, and end with an after party. It might be getting ice cream together, going to a movie, or playing blacklight dodgeball. The other Sundays of the month the group meets at Pastor Austin’s home.
We want every student to connect with God and to connect with others. College is a transitional season of life; transitioning from high school to college (or directly to the workforce), and then transitioning again from college to the working world. We strive to help students become self-sustaining, mature Christians.
This ministry has 3 main goals:
- To offer an environment where students grow spiritually and deepen their relationship with the Lord
- To provide opportunities for students to stop merely attending church and to start being the church
- To help create consistency in students’ lives during an inconsistent season of life
In addition to the weekly service, the college-age ministry has various events planned throughout the year ranging from bonfires to beach hangouts to game nights to a weekend retreat. We do our best to create opportunities for people to build healthy, positive friendships.
