I Am Not Invisible

Teachers: Melissa Landon & Nicole Vance

Location: Upstairs Lounge

Chronic, disabling conditions cause major limitations in activity for more than one of every 10 Americans. Chronic illnesses are often invisible to the outside eye and have even started to be recognized as “Invisible Illnesses”. Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Lupus, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Cancer, Mental Illnesses, etc. Those that suffer from them plan days so their energy is used up by things they really have to do, and they say no to the other things asked of them. Sick people don’t want to look or act sick.  Being sick is not fun.

Come to our group gatherings and enjoy a non-judgmental, open forum where you may discuss your illness and how it effects your life, the lives of your families and friends, your job, etc. We are an informal place where people with many different invisible diseases come to seek others who understand what we are going through, we care enough to listen and pray for your specific situations. Guest Speakers may occasionally join us to assist our daily walks.
