Isaiah is the first of the five major prophets in our Bible. Much of Isaiah’s prophesies were written over 700 years before the birth of Christ. In the final quarter of study of this ancient book, we will look at prophecy relating to the suffering Messiah, fulfilled in his first advent. In these final chapters, Isaiah’s prophecies detail events to come which culminates in the formation of the state of Israel, Messiah’s return to the earth, the destruction of His enemies, the beginning of the natural and physical kingdom of God on the earth, Messiah’s righteous reign over the kingdoms of the earth as “King of Kings and Lord of Lords” during the era of peace and prosperity know as the millennium, and the final outcome being God’s formation of new heavens and a new earth.
