We are a multigenerational, multicultural church. We hear people consistently say that New Hope is a friendly, welcoming environment. When you come to New Hope, you will be greeted by people who genuinely love God and care about people.

You will find people dressed in a wide variety of styles. Come dressed the way you feel comfortable. At New Hope, our focus is a person’s heart, not their outward appearance.

What are the music and worship like?

Our music is a blend of contemporary worship choruses with traditional and modern hymns using a variety of instruments. We encourage everyone to participate in worship to God. This can include clapping and raising hands, or quietly reflecting on the lyrics.

What is a typical order of service?

Sunday services open with a few corporate songs of worship and praise to God followed by a short greeting time, announcements, and the receiving of tithes and offerings. Then, one of our pastors gives a sermon, concluding with a time of response through prayer and worship.

Everyone is warmly greeted when you walk in the door! We encourage all guests to stop by the Welcome Center before you leave; we have a gift for you. We’d also love to connect with you. Fill out a Connect card before you leave, our pastors would love to get to know you!

Visitors are not expected to partake in the offering. The offering is for those who call New Hope their church home. When we receive communion, it is an open communion, meaning anyone who has accepted Christ as their Lord may partake.

What do I do with my kids during Sunday service?

Elementary-age children will go upstairs to NHKids! Early Childhood children will go to the East hall on the first floor to the Early Childhood area. Kids have age-appropriate services at the following times:

NHkids (K-5th grade during the 2021-2022 school year)

8a, 9:30a and 11a, in the Main Building Large Kids Church

All elementary grades will have combined Kids church with Pastor Cortney.

NHtots (9 months old – preschool during the 2021-2022 school year)

A team member will register your child in our system with family contact information and other pertinent information. After registration, you will be given a nametag for your child and a receipt. Your child will be walked back to their age-appropriate classroom where the nurturing and fun begins! To check out your child, simply bring the receipt back to the check-in counter. A team member will then bring your child and their belongings back to you.

It is never easy to leave someone you love, therefore it is normal for little ones to cry while being dropped off in the early childhood area. Our caring team members will immediately try to soothe your child while assuring them of your return. If your child cries for a period exceeding 10-15 minutes, we will text you.

The NH Kids curriculum is built around 252 Basics (a curriculum especially for K-5th graders) and based on the truths of wisdom, faith, and friendship that are amplified through 36 monthly virtues and 150 Bible stories taught in class. After class each week, kids are sent home with weekly devotionals and a parent cue card so you can encourage and nurture your child’s spirituality at home throughout the week.

NH Kids operates on three simple rules: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Ready to Learn. If a child chooses to disrespect our adult helpers, they will receive a warning. After three warnings, parents will be contacted either immediately or after the conclusion of the service. If a child curses, becomes violent, or runs away, you will be immediately contacted and they will be removed from the classroom for the remainder of that service.
