New Hope Will Be Launching a Second Campus in Grimes This Fall!
We are excited to announce that New Hope is launching a second campus in Grimes this fall and has approved the purchase of land for a building. The New Hope Grimes campus will be an important part of our mission to continue to reach and serve our growing community.
The new campus will launch Oct. 5 and will hold two Sunday morning services in a temporary location until we are able to build.
The Grimes campus will share the same mission, values and leadership with New Hope in Urbandale. Services at New Hope Grimes will include live, in-person worship and preaching, as well as classes for children age birth through elementary. Pastor Zach Hill will be the new campus’s lead pastor, and we plan to hire a full-time children’s pastor to serve at the location.

Why Is New Hope Opening a New Campus in Grimes?
Based in Urbandale since 1990, New Hope has long felt led to start more campuses in the Des Moines metro. Our leadership has spent time praying and fasting about the decision over the past few years, and God recently opened the door for us to purchase an ideal location in Grimes. We are excited to invest in the rapidly growing city of Grimes so that we can serve the people and families in that area of the metro.
Where Will the New Location Be?
We have purchased land for the new building directly across the street from Dallas-Center Grimes High School. Until we are able to build, we plan to meet in a temporary location. More details will be coming soon!
Where Will the Grimes Campus Meet During Construction?
We are currently in the process of securing a temporary location to meet when the campus launches in October. More information on this location will be shared soon!
How Can I Join the Team Starting the New Campus?
We will be holding two interest meetings for those who are interested in helping start the new campus. Those will take place at 5 p.m. on Feb. 23 and March 30 in the main chapel at New Hope Urbandale.
How Can I Contribute to the Start of the New Campus?
The new Grimes location is made possible by the faithful giving of the New Hope church family. We are starting the new campus as part of our focus on Iowa missions this year. You can learn more about our missions giving focuses here. To contribute directly to the Grimes location, enter your giving as “Missions” and designate it for “Grimes.”
